Magnum research 10/22 are they worth it?

Looking at purchasing one. With the graphite barrel.
Are they as accurate as the custom kids ones and flask? What is a good price for one $700? Or is it better to build one from scratch?

Two different buddies of mine have the Magnum Research 10/22’s. They are both substantially more accurate than a Ruger 10/22.

The Magnum Research 10/22 aren’t as accurate as the custom 10/22 though. My custom outshoots my buddies Magnum Research.

700$ is a bargain compared to a Ruger. I wouldn’t expect the same accuracy as a custom job though.

It’s a expensive 10/22 if it is exactly how you would build one it’s perfect.

They are considerably better than a stock 10/22. Billet receiver with machined in rail, match chamber and extremely lightweight. I love mine, it’s been an excellent gun.

Receiver looked pretty decent. It’s billet construction. Not as tight tolerances as Dlask but is lighter weight.

Plus if you want to get the magnum versions they are a decent way to go.

Not sure about the Dlask barrels. Kidd barrels are absolute premium in the 10/22.The Kidd Ultralight is very cool.

In terms of receivers I don’t know which is better. I never assembled the Magnum Research.

Also the Magnum Research comes with a Ruger trigger which you will likely want to change anyways.

I can't say enough good about my MR .22 Mag. First thing I did was replace the crappy trigger group with a VQ TG2000. That was the only weak point of the Magnum Research. It's a tack driver for a semi mag!

Check Prophet River, they seem to get them in very regularly/easily.
