Magnum Research Baby Eagle in 9mm

Yes, polishing can be a good idea.I just checked it and feeding ramp is a little bit rough. Can I polish it manually with some kind of fine sandpaper?

Thank you guys for all your valuable input. I've been told the new crop of BEs no longer have a polygonal barrel. Checked out the barrel at the gun store. Sure enough: rifled barrel. But the pistol feels great as does the trigger. Think I'm going to get this one anyway.

Mine came with the rifled, I swapped it for the poly. Don't know that I'm a good enough shooter to notice the difference, but there ya go.

As far as reliability issues, all of the ones I've seen with my BE and other's have to do with low-powered ammo + weak grip + heavier then average slide = short-stroking and related feed issues.

If you haven't already BUY ONE...probably ~5000 rds through mine so far and still love it everytime I pull the trigger

Really? I shoot Wincean through my USP (9 mm) quite frequenty and have never been bothered by the fash.

Is your range dimly lit?

Do NOT use the dremel tool on any part of your gun unless you are absolutely certain of what you are doing (and what the problem is). Gunsmiths love dremels and the people who use them – they keep gunsmithing services in high demand.

If you want to have the gun fixed right, send it to a competent gunsmith. I don’t know if Desert Eagle provides warranty services in Canada but if your gun was bought new you might also want to inquire into that.

I'm a newbie and this is my first gun. So I'm trying to figure out how the warranty repair service works here for a Baby Eagle.
Yesterday I was at the range and I had a few feeding problems again. I have 2 magazines, one factory and one aftermarket with a "T" letter on the side. All problems occured with the factory mag.

Look into spare mags first... I know there are tons of CZ mags kicking around at various shops for "normal-Canadian" prices.

However, I seldom see BE mags and from what I hear they are expensive.
