I'm considering one chambered in 45-70

I've happened to see 2 different guy's shooting this gun in this chambering. One guy was coming REAL close to hitting clays @ 200 meters w/ it, using the factory sights (out of the box). I wish that I could've hung around longer to see if he got it dialed in or not...

If ya got one, lets here the stories!

The poll allows for more than one answer.

I don't own one, but my Brudda' and I were discussing buying one between us to try out last time we were drunk together in the same room (and province)...:p I actually even got his 1/2 of the money, then the next morning he asked for it back...deciding it was a bit of a frivolous idea. I was glad as I had changed my mind by then too. ;)

In any case, they sure are a neat revolver! I'd love to try one out sometime...

I just about bought one from TSE a while back, but ran into some funding issues. In retrospect, I'm glad I did, as the whole 'single action' thing really doesn't do it for me. Neither does the lack of holes D&T on the top for a scope. So I'm looking more towards a Ruger super redhawk in 454, or maybe a S&W 460

The factory charges 25 bucks for smithing holes for a scope mount. Not a big deal IMO.

I wouldn't be putting a scope on the top anyhow and I'm good to go w/ a S/A
