How long are they?

I'd say 1-1.5", shorter then a 5/30. The 5/20 mags are perfect for bench/prone/bipod shooting as you can eject the mag without having to move the gun very much, if at all. 5/20 is my mag choice.

No, I wouldn't wamt to use a magazine as a monopod anyway.
