Different than CTR.

Depending on your application, it could be better, or not.

I like mine. Its great on most guns from 10.5" to 16" as far as balance(depending on barrel profile) and provides storage for different things where the CTR does not.

Got it on my AR15 16" & I love it cuz I have the best of all worlds. Cheek rest that store's spare batteries for me plus there is a little pocket that allows me to keep the cleaning kit with the rifle. Then the CTR locking deviece is truely a bonus! On a side note I have moved my CTR and put it on my CZ 858 now with the 1/2 cheek rest I am loving it! Plus that rifle is already heavy so it works way better now.
 
They don't lock as well as a UBR because they aren't a UBR.
They use the buffer tube on your gun, the same as the CTR and most other after market stocks.
