Magpul AFG vs AFG2

I was wondering what your opinions on these are, which one you seem to like better and why, and is the AFG2 really that much smaller.

The AFG2 is quite a bit smaller and the main difference is that it doesnt have high edges like the original AFG, making a better fit on some rifles with a flatter bottom. The AFG on some rifles would actually come in contact with the side rails. I prefered the AFG1, was never fully comfortable with either and have now gone away from them completely in favor of straight fore grips or ladder style handstops like the Magpul XTM handstop kit.

Your welcome, best to stop by a local shop if you have one in your area that carries the product and simply ask to try it. I have lots of friends that love them, for myself they just didnt work, my grip always felt akward. The EE is great source for testing them out aswell, typically they sell all day long for $40 used so you can always grab one and flip it easy if isnt your thing.

I prefer the orignal one on my shotgun and the #2 on my 858. As for AR shooting I still prefer the extended pistol handgrip stance, witch means I run a vertical grip.

Had both, kept the AFG2... Found it's more comfortable, I have small hands...

If you have a wrist injury AFG 2 is better.

Have owned both but like the slimmer profile of the AFG2. It is the one I went with, fits my big hands better too.
