Hey guys, so after trying my buddy's rifle outfitted with an AFG2 I've come to the conclusion that I want one! I cant seem to find any from the main dealers on the website though. I could order through brownells but I'd prefer to give my business to our Canadian retailers and dealers. Does anybody know any retailers that have these in stock? I'm looking for a black one. Thanks guys! I'll keep looking in the meantime, any help is appreciated!

I checked everywhere for one in Canada and couldn't find one. Bonus is that you'll get one in the US for probably 10-20$ cheaper with no tax and like $5 shipping.

As much as I like supporting Canada, buying everything here gets super expensive. Can't remember who just charged me $15 shipping to get a $5 part..

I have been trying for over two months to get 3 of them in Canada.
2x black 1x fde

h ttp://www.oneshottactical.com ...
it's where I got mine.

I called OST twice (got voicemail) and emailed them a week ago, never heard a peep back, so moved on. Apparently no one is home.

Wolverine Stocks them, $29.

Then someone there is in trouble. ;)
They know I'm looking for some and I was told they don't have stock and won't get any for months.

So my plan was to go with Brownells along with a few other items, hoping the >$100 doesn't affect things.

Fabsports has them too, FDE and black: http://ww w.fabsports.ca/magpul-afg2-p-1060.html?language=en

Not to steal the thread, but I assume the $100 ITAR limit is before shipping?

The Fabsports site shows them but doesn't specify whether they are actually in stock.
Unfortunately I have found that many of the online retailers in Canada do this, they let you order, pay, then they tell you there is no stock and that you have to wait for six months, while they hang on to your money. So I no longer buy from sites that don't show this.

$100 is the order amount.
I'm not totally sure whether AFG's actually fall under ITAR though, since they are an accessory and not "any item necessary to the operation of a weapon", but sites like Brownells do not make this clear. Other sites like OpticsPlanet actually show on each item page whether it can be shipped internationally or falls under ITAR.
I'll probably have to email them for clarification.

Magpul is a licenced exporter. Ordering their stuff from brownells is fine as long as it's under the $100 mark prior to shipping.

It's stupid, the AFG is not necessary to the operation of the weapon.
So 3 units at $33.99 each gets me stung for $1.97 over... :(
So I guess the only fix is two shipments and paying shipping cost twice.

f:P:

I just find it incomprehensibly stupid that I can find racks of MagPul AR15 grips at the local gun stores and online, most of them covered in dust because they have been on the shelf for ages, since they are for basically one design of rifle, but no one in Canada has stock on the AFG2 which can be used on virtually any rifle with a lower rail, and on every Cdn forum I go to people are crying for them, and end up having to go to the US because the Cdn retailers don't bring them in or only bring in like 2 units, did this sentence run on enough? :)
Just a rant, no need to reply to this.

In our last order of 50 we only got 25 and they sold in a day. Needless to say we now have a very large backorder of AFG2's.

I read that the PST is the same as the mil spec using the same materials, except the PST is made in hongkong under magpuls oversight.

Now I avoid anything chinese made but for an injection molded grip, I am not too concerned .
