Not really a problem but it I'm noticing something about the BAD lever on my Shrubmaster....

It seems really hard to press on the lever to get back into battery. I have the same thing on my LMT and the BAD lever is smooth.

I installed a Questar commercial stock on my Shrubmaster and the problem I'm guessing is the buffer spring being not-so great.... hence the problem with a really hard press to get back in to battery.

Suppose that the spring is the issue? If so where can I get a good one? Anyone noticing a really hard press on the BAD lever just go into battery?

If you take the lever off, is the paddle hard to depress?

Is it possible the backplate for the lever is at a funny angle, blocking it from being pressed down? Maybe reinstall it?

No I don't think it is.... ever since I changed the stock, the pull on the charging handle on my Bushmaster is not very smooth.... like the carbine buffer spring is making a spring like noise as if you laid down on your mattress.

The LMT I have on the other hand is a smooth no springy noise and soft compression of the charging handle. The LMT has a very low strength for the BAD lever to put itself into battery. While the Bushmaster requires some force to put back into battery using the BAD.

I'm starting to think that the buffer spring really is the cause of the BAD lever being so bad. All depends on the spring I'm starting to think too...

Sounds like you need to oil your gun and shoot it! I have a shrubmaster/franken gun and it works great.

Tell us more what you have done to your gun in regards to swapping out parts.

P.S only swap out parts to better higher end brands and get Mil-spec only. This avoids less problem I find.
