Magpul Bipods - Who has stock

What does Magpul sell at a reasonable price????
Magpul to me, represents a brand that financially capitalizes on American patriotism and gets away with over pricing their products simply because they are American made.... or at least claim to be.
I bought an identical sling on ebay out of China for like $6 (and I mean identical) when the Magpul version is like $60... Actually I bought about 8 of them for less than one Magpul sling.
Not that Magpul stuff isn't decent quality, because it is, but it is ridiculously over priced.

Are they worth it? Hard to say without field testing, but from what reports I've seen they're priced to complete with a Harris and they do that well. It's definitely not a Harris, but it has it's own pros and cons.

Just because something is visibly identical, does not mean it is identical. I buy quality, well made products not because of the brand name, or the American patriotism, or the perceived higher value, but because of the confidence that comes with it. I know that I can rely on the kit that I purchase. Can you say the same about china made knock offs?
Totally agree with the above sentiment.
At a match down in the US someone I know was using a knock off harris bipod and I saw it break. It looked identical but in the middle of a stage it literally fell apart and not like a "oh I can screw this back together" kind of way.

I would say their aiming at people who might not pay the price for an Atlas pod, not really the same market as the Harris. I have both Harris/Caldwell and Atlas pods, they are totally different in terms of features and intended use. The Magpul one can directly interface with M-lok or a pic rail, neither are really suited for hunting rig where the Harris fits that application pretty well.
I just bought the above Magpul bipod from Calgary Shooting Centre. It looked cheaply made to me and those plastic legs turned me off a bit until I actually fondled one in person. Construction, feel and function is better than what I would have suspected only from looking at one. Pretty solid unit really (inner legs are steel) and IMO priced decently considering what Harris bipods are going for these days. The price of Atlas bipods are just stupid. I have one, and it's great, but back before they were tacticool I paid 50% of what they cost today. I have yet to test it in the field so my opinion is based on nothing but first impressions. I also liked the fact I could remove this bipod and not have a pic rail or stud adapter still attached to my forend. Simple, clean, effective mounting solution. Time will tell how it stands up to real use in the field.
I should add that the roll pins that secure the feet can be removed and the legs will accept any Atlas or equivalent feet. The ball detent clicks into the hole where the roll pin was.
