edit: I see they were a limited production run from Noveske (which sold fast)...can't seem to find much info later than July 2009

Very rare, Magpul's insurance would not let them make more than I beleive 200.

They ended up selling some to friends of Magpul, and the rest where sold to Noveske for him to do a combo gun.

What a waste, they could have sold those for a good chunk of profits.

... thinks the short-sighted.

Those lowers probably generated more interest in the company and resulted in more business and income than would have been possible selling 200 measly lowers individually on Gunbroker.

They are by license, but most insurance companies that cover commercial firearms manufacturers have limits as to what you can or cannot do under the policy. Obviously if your making a lot of guns, your rates are higher.
I think that 200 was the maximum that Magpul could do without a major hike in rates, and making more would have been much much more costly, into, I beleive, major unprofitability.

Shame they did not , i think that you could put magpull on anything and sell it at this point.
