Does this come with the rubber butt pad? or do you need to order it separate?

All the commercial ones I've seen had the rubber pad. It seemed to be an add-on for the milspec ones for some reason.

Rubber pads seems to be part of the commercial version (MAGPUL site has commercial version 20$ more to incl rubber pad), and an option available for milspec CTR. If you check Questars website, the commercial version is 10 bucks and seems to include the spacer/butt pad. Check with Mark @ Questar, site sponsor up top (banner).

According to magpul, the spacer butt-pad allows for slanted-back commercial buffer tubes. milspec tubes are supposed to be flat so spacer/buttpad is an option.

Rubber butt pads are on the civilian one as the civ receiver extension is longer/angled and would otherwise stick out the back of the CTR when fully collapsed, or would not be able to be collapsed. This is also why the civ model rubber pad is thicker.

The mil stocks pad is optional.

I got milpec CTR and the buttpad is well worth the extra $$$.
