I presently have a CTR stock on my Norinco cq-a, just bought an M&P-15 and wanted to switch the stocks over. I'm wondering are they interchangeable? I know the CTR stock is offered in mil spec and commercial spec, not sure which is on the Norinco or how to check but recall some of the rifle not being mil spec. If it is indeed commercial spec I'm assuming I can't use it on the M&P and the put the M&P on the Norinco? Thanks

The Norc buffer tube is commercial, not sure in the m&p thought. If the end of the tube has a slight angle it's commercial and if it's flat it's mil spec

Not Necessarily - why not just try the stock on the receiver extension? The Norc is definitely commercial, so the stock will either fit, or waggle around really badly.

the commercial buffer tube is slightly larger than mil-spec, so it will either fit or it won't. like everyone said, just try it.

Well, that was easy. I was under the impression the buffer tube had to come off. My norinco has an ati tube, swapped
the butt stocks off in about 38 seconds. Thanks for the input guys.
