Magpul CTR stocks on ebay

There are a number of online retailers advertising the CTR stocks on their ebay sites... I asked one if they can sell and ship these to Canada and the guy said yes, no problem.

Is this just a case of ignorance on their part, or is something missing? Its my understanding that export permits are now required for these stocks... so what happens if these guys just ship it unknowingly?

He get's to explain things to some very upset people on his side of the border and if you're lucky you'll just be out the money you paid and get red flagged for anything else being sent to you.

Really!!! I know that's what they said not too long ago, but just do a search like "Garand". Still lots of parts for sale, but not as many as before.

If the "declared" value is under $100US, legally there are no export papers required to send gun parts up here. (but I won't try this with a reciever or such...)

nope ctr are banned by name value as nothing to do with it. its a assault weapon part and they wont issue a permit for its exportation

if caught you LOSE the stock you loose your $$$$

you will get a nasty violation letter from us customs

they will not be impressed with you and it IS up to each officer to admit your ass to the us each time you crosss...... so it could prevent entry to the us

as for red flagging a name, not so sure as the postal service has a hard time just getting stuff to you let alone id-ing and detaining every item addressed to a person

Wrong -- only certain parts have that ceiling.
