I just took a FDE CTR from Canada down to the US. I guess if I had thought about it - I would have sold it on CGN, and bought a new one in Fl.

Yea Canada Customs is pretty hard on imports these days. The scary thing is how much power they give to an individual customs officer, one person can investigate, convict and punish you in less then an hour and you are stuck proving your not guilty afterwards.

Every order of mine from Brownells has been opened by CBSA and inspected, I'm not surprised since the label says "Gun Parts" on it.

So the commercial version will definitely fit both a COMMERCIAL and a MILSPEC tube no problem???? I know it was mentioned earlier in this thread, but I just want to make sure... They only had the commercial style in stock when I ordered, and it's for a Colt LE6920 that has not even arrived in my hands yet so I can't measure the tube....

Got my OD commercial one from Brownells a few days ago, I'll post pics later

The top one is the OD Commercial one and the TAN one below is actually a milspec disguised as commercial thanks to ''Rambones'' who probably flipped buttpads (or someone else) with one of his commercial ones & sent me a Milspec (Even though we discussed a trade with a commercial one) with a Commercial rubber buttpad in tan. Note the cap, they only come with Milspec ones.

Anyhow the OD one fits & works great and managed to sell the milspec one that didn't fit my commercial buffer tube.

I've got an OD M93b on my 6920, going to replace with a UBR eventually.

I figure the OD look is more applicable to our location in the world than a Tan one would be.

All my buffer tubes are mil-spec....

I've never ordered from brownells before, I might have to call them up.....

Most Colts are, so it was a pretty sure bet it would be Mil for u..I had to find out via trial and error but at the end , all is good.

would a stag arms be commertial or milspec??? it is a model 2R

All Stag Arms Stock kits use Mil Spec receiver extensions, so after market upgrades are as easy as changing the plastic. This Collapsible 6 position stock kit comes with all items shown.

Is a Bushmaster 6 position tube Commercial?

Commercial will technically fit both from what I read.... just not as tight.... right?
