Magpul CTR stocks

I just bought a CTR MOE stock, the dealer had both but told me for the price difference to go with the MOE, he said there is very little difference. Can anyone confirm this? or will I wish I went with the other one?

Google reveals the MOE has no QD sling mount and no friction lock. Whether it's worth it or not, that is for you to decide.

You should have gone with the CTR. The difference is the secondary lock. When you lock down the CTR there isn't any wobble. At first I didn't realize there was a lock. When extended it clicked in and that was it. I thought it was good but it wobbled a tiny bit when extended. As soon as I locked it down with the second latch it was secure and the wobble was gone. It's worth the extra.

My understanding is that the MOE doesn't have the secondary lock. There's the price difference. It's worth the extra.

You get what you pay for and you will regret cheaping out.

I have spoke with someone who has used both of them and he said that the only real differance is that when you activate the locking lever it prevents you from shortning or lengthing the stock. and also said that the MOE is just as tight as the CTR. I will be sure to give a revieve of it once I try it. For almost half the money I thought I would try it. now I can afford more ammo;)

I just tried to order one from Brownells and they told me I needed an import permit and end-user certificate. How did you guys get yours across? Do they just not like me?

Was the total cost of your order below 100 bucks? Read the Brownells policy about that, beside the item click the words GUN PARTS which will open a window for you to read.

Did you have just the 1 CTR in your cart? Did you add anything else on? Subtotal must be under 100$ (it's okay if shipping makes it go over 100$ though).

If you want more than 1, you can place separate orders.... but will pay S&H for each one.

I got mine last week. If you had only the 1 CTR in your cart (97$) and they wanted an export permit.... Wow, I guess I ordered just in the nick of time. :D

I just ordered a CTR alone and have received no contact about needing an export permit. Anything below $100 is fine.

When I made my order I also ordered some parts for my 10/22. I thought that the part itself had to be under $100, not the whole order. I ordered just a CTR and have recieved nothing saying I need a permit this time. :)

Does anyone know if you can order muzzle breaks? I know flash hiders are verboten. Sorry for the hijack

As I mentioned before, click on the the GUN PARTS and read, it specifically says what you can and can't buy. Flash Hiders from the USA are a NO. But you can buy them from Fabsports here in Canada. He has a lot.

Ordered 2 CTR's on Friday on separate orders mind you and they both shipped this morning as well as 2 rubber buttpads shipped yesterday on another separate order. I guess I will find out later if they make it or not.

I don't know, I used to avoid mail order during this holidays period, especially from the States. I know I want this, but, well, I can wait til next year:D

Brownells will ship, don't worry, received few but don't try to buy badger bolt knob or even t Vais brake, they wont ship, no export from this compagny !!! Find why

Sendero;

Brownell will only ship gun part products to Canada from companies that are registered with the US state department (regardless of the value of the order). Many of the AR accesories companies are not registered for exporting of products (such as the two you mention).
