Magpul CTR, worth the price ???

Brownells has them (CTR's) in stock. You can have any colour as long as it's black! :nest:

That black would not do for wannabee's like me. :D Commercial tubes & Mil-spec tubes versions are in stock! That's today.... who knows about tomorrow?

I apologize for the ignorant question, but I though that these were regulated under ITAR???

Brownells will ship to Canada?

The commerical sized ones are now over $100 so they are now a no go for export :(

I thought the same as well. I was under the impression that even if it was under $100US retractable stocks were banned from export. Or does it get around it by not including the receiver extension? Please forgive my ignorance here I'm not as up to scratch on these rules as I should be.

Depends if they have an export permit.
Just purchased one from Brownells.
Under the 100 dollar limit no problem.
Over a 100 and you get a bunch of export permit applications and end user paperwork from Brownells.

Go figure.

I wanted to post this pic on an earlier thread POLL I started in regards to the most popular Magpul CTR and stock options, after Black, FDE was the 2nd choice and as a result I built this .... (thanks to the EE and the guys on CGN !!!! 16" midlength upper on a standard DAR701. MOE stock, and bits and pieces of an MIAD FDE grips. KAC "taupe covers" on a MI rail and Smiths vortex FH, TD sights etc...

The MagPul MOE is on a MILSPEC stock and will stay there until I can get a CTR. The MOE doesnt lock like the CTR but its as solid if not MORE solid than a standard 6 position M4 stock. Indeed its nice to have a locking stock but not a necessity for me.

Now the next poll was to be for optics on this thing (and Magpul MOE MBUS) ;)

it seems that guns are easy to get in Canada .. plastic stocks for them ... not so easy :(

I have 2 CTR's on my two complete AR's and I just recieved another one from Brownells and another is on its way. Just wish a couple of them were Commerical buffer size cause finding milspec tubes is getting troublesome.
