Just a quick question, anone have preferences between teh two for a shorty carbine?

The M93B is a B**** :( to install and complicated compared to the CTR.

Just wondering if anyone can share experiences with either. Thanks

It's not THAT hard to install. I have an M93B and I LOVE it. Never seen a CTR in real life actually.

The Robot Leg is a very solid setup. Just as strong as a fixed stock.

Thats true. The MagPul website is helpful and the detail on the stock is quite good.

Looks as though the CTR is designed as a replacement over the standard M4 stock.

I bought one of the non-Milspec CTR's

Very Impressed

The lock feature is great. No wobble. Straight to the point. The M93 is nice (having used one) but I like the CTR more. I'll admit my bias and say I never liked the robot leg look :p

It's a short stock (good for shorties) but I can't remember how short the m93 was.

There are ton of photos on Internet of rifles with UBR, but it's somehow not coming out. Actually, if you look at the DMR page on LWRC site, they say their rifle will be available with UBR sometime in Jannuary. I guess even industry insiders doesn't know its release date...

How short do these stocks get?
I want to use on eso my kids can shoot my AR, but they are still small so i need a shorter stock. anyone want to take the time to check how long each gets?

Thanks

I own the CTR, m93a and m93b and PRS. I personnaly prefer the 93 on a .223 rifle over the CTR (witch I use on my 9mm AR pistol). But both are excellent choices one way or the other on any carbine. But if replacing the buffer tube to install the m93's propritary buffer well then look into the CTR witch is also less expensive.

Ive got a M93... but IM gonna get a UBR for sure..Nice design..when its available.

Never used a CTR but I like the feel and looks of my robot leg.

As for being hard to put on... maybe the first time if you don't like reading instructions... maybe.

My decision making has just been simplified, just sold the M93B and waiting for a milspec buffer tube for the CTR :)

Thanks for the input guys.

I thought the state dept don't allow export of the CTR stock anymore?

Don't know what the big fuzz is about the CTR myself?? Other than the fact that it looks cool?

LOP on a standard M4 telescoping stock is 9.75" or something close. The M93B is about a quarter inch longer (10.08"??). I'm not sure about the CTR though, but it should be close to the M4's length....For reference a standard fixed A2 stock is 13.5".

Does anybody have a line on where to get the CTR stock (in Canada)? Any supply coming in seems to have dried up.

As Mebuispower pointed out, the US state dept. won't issue the export paperwork for the CTR and the M93B is out of production anyway. Even in the states the M93 is hard to come by as it is only NOS now. The CTR is a bit easier to find but is it worth the paperwork and hassles. I think your only hope is to find a CGNer who is getting rid of one on the EE. I've seen a few on FleaBay as well- just no sellers from Canada. Good luck in the search!

Just measured my CTR. 7 3/8 - 10 5/8. I am measuring to the front of the castle nut.

Just put it on my AR last week. Haven't got to the range with it yet, but so far I like it!

I have CTR's and M93's and PRS's

I prefer the CTR's on smaller/lighter guns -the longest I like it is on a bone stock 14.5 M4, while I prefer the M93 on 14.5-18" guns and the PRS on 20" guns.

I replaced my Crane stock on my work gun here with a CTR (with rubber buttpad of course) Which ironically is a 16" midlength - I've debated putting a M93B on it - but I'm lazy...
