Magpul MBUS Flip-Up Sights?

I found the sight picture lacking with the standard magpul sights. If they really are just "back up" sights, they will probably never be used anyways, but I like to run my irons every couple times I am at the range to keep proficient with them, and I had trouble doing so with the magpul ones, so I switched to Troys and love them. I havent had the chance to try out the Magpul Pros yet.

I wonder if open sights work with "older vision" like I have. While I wear glasses, reading small print can piss me off. I usually run optics but would love to rock some magpul back ups....

My advice is to save a little longer and get troys or knights buis. The mbus is ok but I garuntee someday you will replace them down the road with either of the two mentioned

What would be a good co-witness buis for an Aimpoint T1 micro?

Any of them would work, however if the main optic goes down, usually you just want to remove it. Seeing through a cracked or mud filled lens isn't fun. ;)

Zero the irons first as I use them as my reference point when mounting optics, so knowing that they’re precisely on target is essential. Make sure you put a good number of rounds downrange to confirm the zero.

Now you can turn your optic on. With your iron sights up, adjust the optic so that the point of aim of your red dot (or whatever) matches up with the point of aim of your iron sights. Make sure to actually aim down your sights while doing this as if you were aiming at a target. Once that’s all settled fire a few rounds using only the dot to confirm the zero.

Congratulations! You now have a red dot with co-witnessed iron sights!

I run the EOtech EXPS2-0
The EXPS2 7mm raised base is supposed to yield a lower 1/3rd co-witness with irons, quick detach and for my rear back up sight I use the GEN2 Magpul MBUS, my front sight is the A2, works perfect and I like the Magpul sight, cost effective as I rarely use irons but it's there if I need it!
