Magpul MBUS PRO

Hey Guys, sorry for noob question, but what's the procedure of ordering from Brownells? Any export/import papers should be done or etc? If anyone could educate me step-by-step will be much appreciated! Thanks

Were you able to order the set together or did you have to break it into 2 orders? I am not sure if the sights are ITAR regulated or not.

Ordered as a set. Ordered many sets if regular MBUS in the past. No email back to me saying there is a problem, I have gotten emails in the past saying no go but typically very quickly after the order. Sent to my US box very quicker shipping. Ill post up if an issue arrises.

Not sure if I can link to it here, but a while back I wrote up an article on my experience importing with Brownells. There is also one floating around CGN on one of the forums -

If it is under $100, it shouldn't matter about paper work (soon to be $250) as long as the manufacturer has applied for the proper paperwork to export.

I Ordered just the front sight last night, but I have not filled out an end-user statement to utilize the $500 exemption. This the email I got from Sandy at Brownells on 18 August

Thank you for your interest in Brownells. As of July 8th, 2013, our Dept. of State did recognize the ITAR, International Traffic in Arms Regulations, exemption raise in dollar values of $100.00 to $500.00 for gun component parts only.

Regulated items still require an export license, regardless of their value or quantity.

Under the new exemption, our Dept. of State requires an end-user statement to be kept on file for the specific order the exemption is being utilized for.

Please complete the attached end-user statement and return to us as soon as possible, so your order can be released for shipment.

We do appreciate your co-operation and thank you,
Sandy

Ordered Yesterday when they came in stock and got shipping confirmation today.Spoke to Trisha at Magpul and they have just started sending to there US customers and haven't started to ship to there Canadian distributors yet, but will be in the near future.( Couldn't wait so went the Brownells route )

Hopefully I get mine this week. a little steep at 147.50 for the set, But I must have the Kool-Aid. I can just imagine what these will sell for up here.

hahahaha... 260$ on EE for a set... I hate how gun owners try to phuck each other over for money....

That's me and actually, I am not trying to phuck anyone. I simply decided they weren't for me. I paid $180 USD plus $30 USD in shipping for them. I then got tagged by customs for another $30 CAD. By the time you factor in the exchange rate for the USD and the fact I would have to ship them I am close to recovering my $, which is all I was looking for. You do the math. I beleive that you will still pay more than I was asking from a Canadian Retailer once they eventually get them in stock by the time you factor in Taxes and Shipping.

Thanks for the accusations though.
