Magpul MOE on Norinco M4

Haven't had any experience with an MOE handguard yet but everything else magpul seems to be pretty easy to install on the new gen of norcs. Just make sure you're careful wen putting on the grip that you don't lose that little spring. And the norc stock needed a little elbow grease to get off but everything else went flawless. I opted for the Tuff Force quad rail from epps for 70 bucks with tax. Thing is friggen SOLID

If you own a Norc M4 and are thinking about changing the handguard for the Magpul MOE then you have to know that you'll have to screw around to make it fit on your rifle, its not easy but its not impossible if you have the tools to do it.

That's why I did put UTG quad rail on mine.

Why do I have to modify the front hand guard for it to fit a Norinco, would I have to modify it to fit an M&P or a Colt?

I had no issues to take the original stock out of the buffer tube and slide in the MagPul CTR stock and the grip was really easy as well the screw that comes with the MagPul grip fits in perfectly and the P-Mags are not only looking great but they fit in better than the original ones.

Did anyone have issues with the enhanced trigger guard? I'm having a hard time getting the rear pin out (the one closest to the pistol grip), it has no give at all. It says to use a 1/8" punch, but all I've got is a 1/32" (which is what I'm using) and another two labeled 2/32" and 3/32" which are too big. Will it make that much of a difference or is there something to the Norc M4 that makes this a bit different?

So I got a proper 1/8" pin punch and still no give on the thing. I don't want to start reaming on it with a hammer... how'd you guys do it?
 
make sure the punch is not tight in the hole, support the back(i used a piece of wood with a small hole) and a couple of sharp taps should get it moving
 
Let me stress that point britguy just made: Make sure the punch isnt too tight.
I got impatient and went ahead with mine the 1/8 punch got stuck in the hole and was a real ##### to get out, and I think I cracked or at least scratched (appears minor) the receiver around the hole. Hope someone else learns from this. :(
