MAGPUL ... moving!

as I hinted earlier.... http://freepatriot.org/2014/01/04/democrats-cost-colorado-200-jobs-85-million-dollars

A lot of finger pointing at the democrats in the Colorado state house, (Those that weren’t recalled anyway) over lost jobs and revenue from the recent announcement that are the direct result of the democrats voting in gun laws that are so Draconian that Colorado sheriffs say they are unenforceable.

At the beginning of 2013, Magpul was drawing up plans to expand right there in Colorado, but as the year drew to a close, they were packing their bags for Wyoming and Texas. The loss of Magpul, goes beyond the 200 jobs they will lose along with the 85 million in revenue. Construction jobs for the extended plant and the 400 suppliers Magpul uses could lead to even more suffering.

Odds are that Magpul will use local suppliers rather than their old ones in Colorado, which means these companies will have to find new clients to pick up the slack. If they can’t, layoffs and closures will be a real option. The actual losses in jobs and revenues may not be known for years.

Not one single republican voted for any of these gun laws in either house of the Colorado legislature. The entire blame rests on the democrats. The democratic party in Colorado has evidently come up with their plan to soften the damage to their party. Not one single democrat has answered questions from the press about the job losses. (Sort of like putting your hands in front of your face to make yourself invisible)Then, after refusing to answer, they assure the reporter that their priority is on job creation, even though they didn’t so much as propose one single law to promote job creation. Good luck with that.

"Odds are that Magpul will use local suppliers rather than their old ones in Colorado" is good business sense. It keeps the cost down from supplier to customer. Plus, it also generate local economies in Wyoming and Texas. Win Win here for Magpul and for Wyoming and Texas.

Better get while the going is good. Do you think pot legalization is some kinda Antiguan scale. Like the hotness to craziness scale from how I met your mother..... I wonder seems suspect. Can't we all just live and let live

Yup. It isn't just magpul's financials. It is the ripple effect. Jobs, contracts for expansion, and everything else that stems from their existence in Colorado. By themselves they may be a drop in the bucket. But when a cog in the wheel breaks, the whole machine slips.
