Just before you say anything, please note that I just renewed my RPAL, so please, don't bother with the " you don't have a permit" stuff, thanks :)

so yeah, I ordered all of my pieces that I needing at the exception of the Magpul PRS stock, I called crafm, socom supply and they both are out of stock, it is no big deal, but since I should get all of my pieces like next monday, it would be fun to have everything ordered. I noticed that many of you have the PRS, did you all buy it in canada, because I am confused. Some told me it would be fine for export, others told me the opposite. If you guys could clear me up, of if you have one for sale, it's sold.

Cheers

The PRS is considered a fixed stock for purposes of export from the US. So as long as you have the US export paperwork you can still get them. UBR's, CTR's, etc., are not okay for US export.

GOOD, thanks taman, in at least 10 people that answered me, you, at least have some infos :), really appreciate it. As for the export paperwork , how does that work??

thanks mate

If you can't find a PRS from a dealer in canada(buying in canada is the easiest option), you can import it from the US. However you can't just order something like its cd's/dvd's off amazon.com. Only a licenced US exporter can apply for an export permit. You can't apply yourself. Your best bet would be to sign up on www.brownells.com and order it there. They're a US company set-up to do canadian export, and they'll handle/guide you through the export process.

so yeah, ...

What do ya mean ...:) We know you don't need no stinkin' permit to own a buttstock. :D What kind of people you hangin' with? :D

Brownells is your best bet, they're set up for all the paperwork already. That's over and above supporting your local dealer first of course.

yes. It's pretty long... I could always put it on a nonfolding adapter and thus shorten it by an inch, but the folding function is so useful for storage...

When I don't feel like lying on my belly, I just switch to a CTR or the standard folding tube stock I have.

But, for all the purposes it is intended for, it's an excellent choice. I just got a Millet DMS-1 scope for my rifle, and being able to adjust the cheek rest has put my line of sight right where I need it to be.
