Magpul SGA and MOE Forend! Pics up!

I put a pre-order in for the FDE stock/forend at brownells yesterday, but they weren't allowed to ship the sling that I ordered, so who knows if they'll send me the sga when it comes out...

I'm still deciding between a 12 and 14" barrel.

Hmm the 12 would be interesting! But FDE is sick! I would love to see the pics after your build is complete!
 
I just got the SGA and MOE on my 870 yesterday. I need to wait for a day off to shoot it but so far I like the SGA.

I prefer the SGA to the factory style design, but I admit I still like a full vertical grip best. Unfortunately Speedfeed has a small grip and my old Mesa Tactical Low Mount was a bit heavy. Until there's something better the SGA will stay on the 870.

I'm not sure on the MOE. It's on the long side (I'd think that's for mounting hardware) but no longer than my Surefire forend. I'd say it's 3-4cm longer than the standard Police forend. At least now I can leave one forend on and just slip my light on and off as needed for the mission at hand (hiking in the day/room clearing my basement when nobody is looking/trying to look like a mall ninja at the range). Pics to follow.

If I can find a shorter rail the light will go to the 6 o'clock position.
 
Still wondering how the magpul stuff is gonna look with a 12.5 tho, can't wait to finish my build :) I've got the receiver and stock. barrel, forend and sling loop incoming

I haven't had it out to the range yet, hopefully tomorrow or Saturday.
The stock comes with spacers to lengthen it but I kept it as short as possible, (12" lop) and it feels awesome! works really well with a single point sling on the stock.

I still need a breacher choke, night sight, and flashlight before I can call it done.
 
Brownells have them... Questar and OSTS did have a little; I got my stock at Questar my forend and sling loop at Brownells, just waiting for the snail mail cheap delivery
 
I can't really say much about it as I only have a stock bolted to a receiver right now... (No barrel, no forend)
BUT to me, the angle of the grip is better than anything I felt so far, the grip might be a bit thin tho. The adjustable LOP will suit anybody, I prefer short so I think I'll leave mine at 12.5" but it could go up to 14.5"... I just hope unlike the short LOP hogue it won't cause my thumb to hit my nose and make me cry ),:
The stock itself feels like Magpul stuff; it's definitely well made and solid.
I'll be able to judge better once I can shoot the damn thing... Snail mail is killing me here
 
My set is in the mail from Brownells. What's worth waiting for is worth waiting for.... It's going to be fun. Will post pics once I land them and get them installed.

Ill throw mine into the mix. Definatly a great feel to the furniture. Think I will be adding the AFG to the forend, and once I grind down the nubs toss on a +2 extension. Hope to find a hi viz fiber sight for the front too.

ive got the magpul gears on my 16.5" ( custom length ) Norc 12ga .. waiting on my +1 extension to even things up..

really like the stuff though, i find that the forend is a little weird to get my thumb around comfortably, and i seem to naturally want to put my thumb straight up the back of the grip, where the rubber pad is.. all Costa style ..

which i dont mind at all, its comfortable

Mind if I ask where you got that gun? I want one with the almost-full-length mag-tube instead of the extension, but I can't seem to find one with the ghost ring sights and threaded barrel. All the ones I've seen have the bead sight and non-threaded barrel. Or is that the Magpul tactical package some places are selling with the Magpul furniture and fancy finish?
 
This is the Remington 870 tactical magpul edition... get from the factory with the magpul furniture on it... I got the same ;)
