I recently got a Magpul SGA stock for my Mossberg 590A1. Love the stock. Feels great. But I noticed that the stock is putting too much forward pressure on the receiver, such that the push pin for the trigger group and the trigger group itself won't slide out. The problem is with the cut out on the underside of the stock. There's just not enough cut out. Before I get my Dremel, has anyone else noticed this on their stocks?

Yes this is normal I have to loosen the stock screw in order to get trigger group out. Same way on both of my 590A1s with Magpul furniture. I haven't cut mine I just loosen the stock in order to remove the TG.

Yes just remove some material so the trigger group can pass through. You don't want to be removing that Flex tab door and loosening the stock every time you want to strip it.
The magpul stock bolt access door on the stock is a big design failure. They should have made a rubber insert like the 870 stock because the flex tab door breaks with continued removal as it's no different than a plastic battery door on a TV remote control.

This is a great fix and completely resolves the issue with minimal filing; but am I then only one that is a little pissed off that Magpul didn't design this right in the first place and hasn't fixed it in the several years that this stock has been on the market?

Yup ↑↑↑↑

OP, a Dremel is probably overkill. There isn't that much material that needs removing. I just used a pencil wrapped in sandpaper.
