Magpul SGA / Mossberg 590a1 14" Barrel

I hear ya man. Look at boxing day sales you get a good tablet for $220 or less.
The cameras on them have great auto settings and editing options to increase the pictures look.
Then you just download a free image host app and it's all tap tap tap and done.

Yep. I've been eyeing the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 for a longtime (so long I didn't even think of the '4), 7" to replace my Kobo as an e-reader. We'll see. Wants vs needs and all that.

Pretty off topic here, but Tab 3 is an old device (bought mine over a year ago = ancient). Buy the 4 unless you get the 3 for very little. You will want to use the tablet for much more than e-reading.

Glad to hear that the SGA is working for you but I probably won't be buying one (unless I buy another 500/590

). Already found a stock that works well for me.

Very minor difference, 1/4" less-ish. You should be fine. BTW, I corrected the velcro side-saddle confusion.

Maybe this will give you a better idea; my hands are 9" circumference when measuring for gloves, the tip of my index finger hits the forward outside edge of the trigger guard.

I really like that. How's the trigger reach now? I have small hands, I wonder if I could get away with the same setup.

I just installed my SGA a hour ago and I can tell you there's a substantial difference in trigger finger reach over the OEM Mossberg stock. The ergonomics are not as good as a typical 870 but it's better than what it was.

Thanks, I have the SGA stock on my mossy but I meant with the GG&G QD point installed. I was asking if it made a big difference in trigger reach. I may give it a try but it's not cheap.

I decided I didn't like the sling attachment points on the side of the SGA, so I drilled a small hole and epoxied a wood thread swivel stud to the forward angle on the underside of the stock. The stock feels a little flat under the shooting hand, but being able to select the correct LOP has made a world of difference for me, and makes my 20" 590 much more shootable. While I have to struggle to reach the DA trigger on a N frame S&W revolver with factory target grips, I have no difficulty reaching the trigger with the SGA stock on my 590, even when wearing gloves.
