Has anyone attempted or actually installed a Magpul UBR Gen 2 Stock on their BCL 102. I know the included Buffer tube that comes with the stock will fit and thread on the 102 but it's the buffer and spring I have a question about. The stock also comes with a spacer because the buffer tube that comes with the stock is longer than the buffer tube on the rifle. This spacer is supposed to make up the difference in length so you can use the 102 buffer spring and buffer. If the spacer doesn't work does anyone know which type of buffer and spring I would need so everything works correctly. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks

Pretty sure I tried a gen 1 ubr on a gen 2 BCL when I had one and that it didn't fit. I got it on and definitely liked the look, but the buffer tube didn't thread in far enough to capture the buffer detent.

Interesting, from all the research I've done the UBR Gen 2 fits in the BCL lower receiver. Where the problem lies is in the buffer and spring. I spoke with the guys at SFRC and they told me the buffer tube does thread in correctly, it's the spring and buffer which comes with the BCL 102 where there might be an issue. I thought I would post to see if anyone had some real world experience with this. I managed to install a Magpul PRS Gen 3 on my other BCL 102 and it works great using the OEM buffer tube, spring and buffer. Thanks for your reply..

I failed to comprehend what I was reading haha. Nevermind.

Actually you may be able to help me out even though you have a Stag 10. I know both the Stag 10 and BCL 102 both use a milspec buffer tube. From what I've read the BCL 102 uses an A5 Buffer tube, I have no idea what's on a Stag 10.
When you installed the buffer tube from the UBR Gen 2 stock, was it the same length as the Buffer tube on your rifle? If not was the UBR buffer tube longer or shorter than the one on the Stag 10? If the UBR buffer tube was longer did you change out the buffer and spring or did the buffer and spring from your Stag 10 fit into the UBR buffer tube?
If you couldn't use the bufer and spring from your Stag 10 on the UBR buffer tube which setup(Buffer/Spring) did you use for the UBR buffer tube? I hope you can see where I'm going with this and any answers you can give me will help immensely.
I managed to install a Magpul PRS(Mag672)Gen 3 on my BCL with a little bit of buffer tube modification and also managed to install the same stock on my Derya MK-12 so I figure if I can get enough info I can figure this out and make the UBR work on my 102. Thanks for posting...

I'll be home in a few days, I'll get measurements for you so you can get it figured out. The UBR comes with a spacer that needs to be installed due to the Stag's short buffer. I'd imagine one way or another it would work for you as long as it engages the detent.

Thanks man, I'll be waiting....

Well, here's an update. The buffer tube that comes with the stock does indeed thread into the lower receiver but it is about 2mm short of making contact with the buffer detent pin. So to make a long story short, unless you can find a way to make the buffer tube about 2mm longer, this stock will not work with the BCL 102. I figure I'll just go with the Magpul ACS-L stock.(Mag378)

Worked fine on my 102. Only concern was the depth of the buffer tube is 5mm longer then the stock tube. Cycled ok until I had an out of battery detonation and destroyed the riffle...
