the Magpul MOE line will soon have a front handguard made of the same polymer used in the grips and stocks. It first came into view on the Magpul Masada rifle but will become available for sale on it's own like the other items in the MOE line. So says Guns & Ammo's Book Of The AR-15 January edition magazine.

Like every other Magpul product, you buy the rails separately, in the pic in the Guns Ammo magazine the rails snap into the air vents around the handguard. In the the bottom photo they have a rail attached onto the top of the handguard, comapre the top and bottom photos, they snap on and off.

I wouldn't mind one either, it's supposed to fit the hand better due to the upside down V shape, just like the first model M16's. I a huge Magpul fan so hopefully this makes its way to Browns soon.

Thanks for the better image Soli. Without it I never would have known that Magpul is producing Backup Sights and a new butt stock, I better start saving up now.

LOL, you just :owned: yourself

I ordered all 3 of my CTR's from the States and had zero problems. When I first got my AR15, I decided that I wanted options so I ordered a Tan CTR, a Black CTR, and a Foliage Green CTR, as well as matching MOE grips in each color all from the States. This was in November during the ITAR troubles and the US election firearm frenzy sales, and still my order was perfectly legal.

I wouldn't worry one bit about Canada availability, the only thing you need to know is whether it will be cheaper to order over the border or to order from Canadian retailers. More often than not it's cheaper to order from the States. Sorry local retailers. Example, Magpul MOE stock and buffer tube are $220 at Dlask, I built the same thing for a friend for $110, and that includes the shipping and the cross border taxes you pay at the door to the Canada Post dude. Thats a $120 difference.

The bottom pictures is not an AR-15 it's a Massada, the top rail is part of the receiver.

I like it for the KISS rifle system, curious about the clip on rail system, no mention of this product on Magpul's website.
