Mags for Cooey 64A + 64B

Hey, bud.

IIRC, the 64A used an all-plastic mag, including the lips. Once the lips were sufficiently chewed up, they failed to function. New mags weren't any better.

In an effort to fix this, the Great Minds at Cooey came up with the 64B, which uses a 100% pot-metal mag that, while functional, wasn't pretty. The two are not interchangable, but you may be able to change out the mag housing, mag release, and sheet metal plate on the underside of the stock, do a little whittlin' to fit (if required) and run 64B mags in your 64A. Assuming that's the issue here, of course.

Please keep in mind I'm giving you all this info fresh from my memory, which can be a vague and terrifying place at the best of times. I'd confirm this info with someone else before I did anything rash.

Cheers,

Dan

Dan's memory is better than mine!!

There is (was ?) a "kit" that converted that $h1tty plastic mag to the pot metal one (included the mag housing, mag release, and sheet metal plate on the underside of the stock). I found mine at a gun show. Insofar as commercial availability...can't help ya there.

Overall, I personally know of three different (and in no way compatible with each other) variations of clips for the various Model 64 versions
