Mags for...

Lakefield mossberg mark 3 semi auto. Does it take the same mags as the savage mark 2? Or savage 64? I remember at one time trying a savage mag in a mossberg with the black plastic fold down for end and it working but cant remember exactly which mag i used and if it was just a freak thing or if they infact are interchangable. Can anyone confirm? Im out of town and my buddy has asked me to find him a mag for this lakefield mossberg mark3

The Lakefield/ Mossberg Mark 3 uses the same magazines as the Savage Mark 2. With the Mark 3 sometimes you need to play with the magazine lips to feed consistently

No worries! Really wish Savage had continued to make the Mark 3 instead of the Savage 64. The 64, while a decent gun, has the inferior mags. Really regret selling the Mark 3 I had.

Ya. My cooey 64 was acting up today. 4 keyhole mags had issues today. Maybe it was the super dud value ammo. I caved and bought another case of federal value packs. Averaged 4 duds per mag. Mini mags is all ive ever run thru them before. They run flawlessly
