It's been on the "to do" list for a while...... get rid of the dimples in my 8.5" grizzly tube feed pump action shotgun.
For some dumb reason this gun comes stock with the ability to hold 2.9 shells ( 2 3/4") It's so close that if you remove the plastic keeper that holds the mag tube cap from coming loose there is enough room to fit 3 shells but the problem is the follower gets hung up on the two dimples that lock the mag tube cap's keeper in place.
Some people drill out the dimples but I wanted to leave the tube intact so I dug around today looking for solutions and this is what worked!
I found an SKS front sight adjusting tool that looked promising and when combined with a 16mm socket (fit over the sight adjuster and inside the mag tube but needed a few taps to squeeze into the dimple area), a 1" inside diameter galv pipe nipple, and a small nut I had my dimple pusher!
Worked like a charm, not sure how strong these sight pushers are but I was able to reef it pretty good by hand and get the dimples flush again.

Now the only thing I need to do is drill a hole for a detent ball and stake it in to the barrel lug so I can run an old school 870 mag tube cap.
