Am I correct in assuming that magwells are illegal in Canada?

I'm assuming the purpose of a magwell is so that you can use longer magazines which allow for more rounds. If you are restricted on how many rounds you have in a magazine, what's the purpose of a magwell for a pistol in Canada?

On a pistol (not sure if they exist elsewhere) it is more to aid the speed of a reload or mag insertion. It 'guides' the magazine into the mag port

You are most certainly INCORRECT in assuming that. One can use magazines as long as you want, with whatever original capacity As long as it is pinned to the correct amount.

Definitely not illegal. Only the mag capacity is the issues. As above, good for faster reloads, and (the reason I like them), they provide a little extra length in the grip.

why would you think these where illegal in Canada?
all they do is assist you in getting the magazines in the gun faster and smoother.
