Mail Lady just brought my XLR

Just got my 1895XLR in the mail. Beautiful rifle with the exception of the rear sight, it looks cheese compared to the rest of the rifle. The worst part is there is nowhere to get 45/70 in Fort McMurray! I have to wait until I go to Edmonton to pick up ammo and dies.
Anyone else sporting an XLR? Still wondering what the recoil is going to be like.
Any word when the LeverRevolution ammo will be available in 45/70 in Canada?

My buddy has one just like yours, we have been shooting light wimpy as well as moderately hot 300 and 400 grain ammo and the recoil is light, much less than a 12g with 2 3/4" slugs. I am looking forward to playing with heavy 400 and 500 grain loads I like the gun.

They'll sell you the bullets, but you have to take the case, primer and powder too.
