Are you allowed to mail empty brass cases through canada post or are they considered a dangerous good? I cant really find any info online about just empty brass casings

As long as they are fired and you gave them a cleaning basically all the use powder out the inside you can say it's not dangerous goods, BUT even range dirty isn't dangerous goods

Brass is fine. Youre not suppose to mail live ammo or primers thru canada post ...but they dont ask whats in the box and Appartently dont check because ive recieved and sent many times

Legally they are required to ask. Do what you want then, ignorance of the law doesn’t mean you’re allowed to break it. The Canada Post act is law btw.

Do what i want ? Hey What are you implieing ? That I - People BREAK the Law ! All i said there is NO Declaration when mailing and that they NEVER ask what your mailing ! RJ

I've never mailed brass however many have mailed me brass. As others have said empty brass that doesn't contain unfired primers or powder so I don't think it can be considered dangerous.

I've sent many items through canada post though (mostly rifles and other items). They've never asked if there are dangerous goods in them. I know I'm not supposed to ship loaded ammo, primers or powder. So I don't, but at the same time they've NEVER asked.
