Majority of BIG game taken with..???

I make a point of using a different old rifle every year, but it has worked out that I've taken more big game with the 45-70, in various Winchester or Browning 1886 models.

300 Weatherby in a M70 Classic Stainless. Moose, elk, bison, goats, sheep, black bear, mulies and white tails.

But give me a few years; I hope to catch it with the 7 Mashburn Super! ;)

Which rifle have I taken the most animals with? My M77RSM 416 Rigby (half a dozen animals in RSA).

Which caliber? 30-06 in 3 different rifles (2 caribou with a stainless A-Bolt, 3 caribou with a Sako and a moose and a muskox with a Stevens).

Clearly I need to take some of the others out for a walk.

For me a 7RM probably into the 3 digits then a 270 followed by couple dozen with a 6.5-284. 300RUM, 25-06 & 350 RM are all into double digits.

WOW .... That looks like between 150 & 200 total big game kills, maybe more.

You would have to hunt a very loooong time here in NB to get that many.

In this province on the whole, I'd venture to say a bubba'd .303 Lee Enfield. For me personally, .30-06.
