For my price range in scopes, I started entertaining thoughts of a a Meopta. After doing some reading on a optics forum and some internet reviews it seems to garner some wildly ranging opinions....

There seems to be, perceived by me anyways a lack of support network and with the polarized comments on quality and warranty, I think the safe will continue to be a Leupold only domain for abit. After some further research on warranty of a Swaro Z3 and for the plinkers maybe Redfield, seems to get good reports for the price point...

Am I missing something with those assessments? I have a .223 and a 375 H&H to scope shortly, have to recover from Christmas sticker shock for a month so I'm trying to gather as much info as I can before pulling the trigger in February. ;)

Send Meopta an email and see how fast you get a response, both Europe and USA. They have got back to me very fast with any questions I have.

I have sent emails to other manufacturers , and to even hear back from them was rare.

The meoptas I have used are top tier scopes. The meostars are anyways.

I just bought a swaro z3 for a kimber 270. I love the scope, it's quality is amazing. One thing I'd consider if you're thinking of putting it on a 375 H&H is the eye relief. I know the 3-10x42 model has a 3.5" eye relief. Just fine for my 270 but I like 4" on anything bigger. I'll most likely get a zeiss for my 300 WM when I upgrade that
