Making 35 Whelen brass...

OK, my FL die is lost in the mail but I have some time to kill so.....
If I run some 06 brass through a FL 06 die, then the necks through a 358 die, will that give me good 35 Whelen brasss? It seems to work, the brass looks fine, comes out a little short. I have a Whelen neck die, and case length gauge, just no FL gauge. I'm wondering about the headspacing, it should be the same correct? The FL 06 die should set it for me. Any thoughts? Thanks
