seems the "normal" rem are too large or long for 350 rem and i dont want the 35 whelen ???!!! if possible of course ???!!!

see you

medvedqc,

if you buy a .243, or .308 LH rifle in the CDL you can have the bolt opened up and then all you need is a rebarrel and your good to go.

that way you get a short action, left handed and ready to go.

If you buy a left hand 700 magnum, then all you would need to do is rebarrel it to .350 Rem Mag.

If you don't buy a Magnum action then you will have to alter the bolt or replace the bolt - both expensive to do.... and possible have to alter the feed rails of the action as well.

There is no real advantage to using the short action to build a .350 Mag... it just forces you to spend more money and you can't seat the bullets out where they should be... the long action is about 3/4 of an inch longer and leaves your options open at a later date...

I have a good .350 Rem Mag. reamer.

no point building a 350 Rem Mag on a long action...you may as well build the Whelen if that's the action you have. I've looked thru Remington's website and there are no left hand 700's in a short mags,..they would be a simple rebarrel to the 350...if you are not stuck on a 700 there are other options for lefty short actions with the proper bolt face. Browning shows the left hand ABolt in all four WSM cartridges. Winchester lists the left hand Featherweight in WSM catridges....there should be some in the distributor/dealer pipeline....the Win or the Browning would be a rebarrel job....a Rem 700 lefty in a 308 type cartridge would require bolt face mods and possibly feed rail mods...extra $$$....or,...you could get a Browning or a Winchester in a 325 WSM and call it good...

hello Rembo

thanks for your answer i dont know about browning but for the wsm from winchester 70 they need a lot of work on magazine as the 350 rem is not so short and need in the case of 250 grainer a longer magazine than the one offered by saum or wsm
but yes if i found a 325 wsm there is nothing to find better but i doubt there is one in canada in LH in featherweight ???!!!

see you
