Making Ackley Improved Brass: Lupua or Nosler.

25-06 ackley

I have a Remington 25-06 that I would like rechambered into an Ackley. Live
in the Winnipeg area so if anyone knows of a gunsmith that can help- that would
be great-also, what kind of cost are you looking at to get it rechambered?

I think if you posted your question in the Gunsmith forum you might get better responses from people that can help you out. There are a few actual gunsmiths hanging around that can talk with you, and even do the work.

Cummins4x4 - Did the no bullet fire forming push the shoulder out all the way? Easy to do?

LongDraw - So far after sizing the neck thickness is ok, although I'm not sure how it will be once fire formed.

I know that Lapua brass is expensive.. but after working with it I'm glad a chose the path I did, worth every penny.. dollar. :D
 
I'm using new Norma made Weatherby 338-06 AS brass that will be fireformed in my 338-06AI. Could of used 30-06 but this was easier, plus its headstamped 338-06

IMO just use 25-06 and fireform it with mediumhot loads.
