Making cans (fake silencers)

A buddy of mine ordered UFC gloves from the states and he never got them. When he inquired about them, he was told they are martial art weapons and were confiscated at the border.

Hope he fought that one ..... Unless there were nails sticking out of these things I can't see what leg CBSA would have to stand on on this one.

What people here fail to realize, is that there is no rhyme nor reason on what gets through Canada Customs.................it all depends on the Officer looking at the goods...............some are more knowledgable then others, and will let certain things through, while others will seize everything that is questionable in their eyes..............what one person gets through customs, might be seized at another border office..................


It is all in the interpretation of the officer, CFC, or judge on whether what you have is classed as a "Supressor"...............

You can't argue with an officer who knows more then you and has the last say on what passes and what doesn't. Don't you know that those gloves are letal on the right (wrong) hands!

Besides he probably wanted a set of gloves for himself.

Lets get one thing absolutly clear!

This statement is complete BS. Police (or any LEO) do not confiscate, they seize. By seizing they are simply holding on behalf of the Crown until the owner has had the chance to prove they were in the right to lawfully possess said article. If they fail to do this, it is then forfeited to the Crown. At no point is any article confiscated from the public. That would mean you did not have the right to defend your case or your name, and you would simply be charged without being proven guilty. Not exatly the norm these days.
