Making my own clays...

Yes, that is exactly the case. I don't buy them personally, but on behalf of a club. We bring them in by the tractor trailer load. The transportation cost is fixed, so the more we can buy at once, the lower the relative cost per bird.

Wild these guys in Ontario get a far better price on clays than we do in Alberta because of the cost of shipping. The guys a Beaverhills told me that their freight bill alone is up $800.00 over last years price!! FS

How many birds are they buying to have a shipping bill of $800.00? I'd think a couple skids in the back of a partially loaded trailer would only be a couple hundred dollars. If they're buying more than that you could probably deal directly with the manufacturer.

10 bucks a box would be nice. But so would 30 bucks for a case of shells and 80 bucks for a case of 9mm :D Maybe i should just win the lottery and it wont matter anymore. :D

Oh Jesus Christ Dave, get out of you mom's basement and find yourself a piece of ass to call your own. Anyone with that much free time needs a second hobby.

Nailed that one on the head :D

So Dave, have you bought a gun yet to shoot pigeons with or is this post just another pipe dream for down the road when you do get one?
