KNO3, also known as Salt Peter, used to be used to help CAUSE erectile disfunction. It is now prohibited in fear that politicians would no longer be able to screw us.
though if you still wish to make your own - swine urine soaked straw that has been allowed to compost for a year or so yields much more KNO3 than chicken ####.

beauty is it can be made from any old decayed plant/animal matter don't just need to be from a chicken coop

After watching Captain Kirk do it in Star Trek we did it all the time. Also used ammonia nitrate and diesel to make things go boom. Being a kid on a farm in the 60's was a lot of fun.

Man, you guys had all the fun. All we were allowed to play with was water, and they even took that away from us after we figured out a way to run the lawn mower on it. Okay so it didn't run for long but it sure ran fast and HOT.
