So, I have a buddy that bough a 1911 from Marstar, and want's to
shoot it in the left hand (swings both ways), is there a way to
change out parts, or modify, or just buy a lefty?

Thanks,

As a lefty, the only thing I find I need on a 1911 pistol is an ambi thumb safety.

I've never shot a norinco, so I can't say what else I'd want for internals, but after handling one, I can say for sure I'd go with better sights, and trigger work.
I think Armco offers up an excellent package for 'pimp my 'rinco'

i'm a full blown lefty, been shooting a colt govt for years and all i've had done is the ambi saftey- you use your trigger or index finger for everything else- actually, except for the safety, the 1911 was designed LEFT-HANDED- same as the saa colt- being the sabre was still carried and the pistol was a back-up- take one in your left hand and see where the mag release and slide release line up- now try to do it right handed- you have to use your thumb a little awkwardly ( rotate the gun out of position) to work the slide release unless you have one of those extended types
