Making your own indoor optical training aid

Bob Raymond is one of the top F-class shooters in Ontario and can be reached through the ORA ( Ontario Rifle Association ) I think his email is Bobatora.com. Best of luck

Apparently you have to mail a money order to him.

Yeah, he doesn't do (FRAUD ALERT) because apparently (FRAUD ALERT) is anti-gun. America also hasn't discovered EMT yet I guess. I got one from Chuck and had it sent to a buddy's in the States (he's also not big on shipping to Canada).

Just an update.

My homemade IOTA is about a 5 out of 10. It probably doubles the clarity/resolution at 50 feet. Almost useful.

I have not heard from Bob and Chuck saI'd he is looking into (FRAUD ALERT) and that was the last I heard.

My scope has not fogged. I am hoping oxygen and moisture did not replace the noble gas in it, there is just less. I may send it in after Christmas break in case I get the chance to get some shooting time in then.

I just noticed that Tracer Hit Light sells these devices and they ship to Canada, great place to deal with too.

I just received my DFAT from Tracer Hit Light. They were the only supplier to just have a normal online store. Shipping was $10 US and the DFAT was very reasonably priced.

The device is well made and very easy to use. I thought it would make things look darker but it is hardly noticeable. It took a few minutes of adjusting to find the best distance for the sharpest focus which turned out to be very close to 14' to my scopes adjustment knobs. You don't need to get the distance perfect. Give or take 6" still gives you a pretty clear sight picture.

In short it is very easy to use and well worth the money. I would highly recommend it. If you dryfire at home you need one of these.

Also I completely agree with MrSharp, Tracer Hit Light was great to deal with.
