The game commission, in fact, thought Lewis was doing wrong by feeding the bear. It cited him in October for feeding wildlife.

There you go,that settles who was in the wrong in this situation.

The hunter was doing everyone a favor by getting rid of a bear that had become dependent on handouts, because someone was illegally feeding it.If for some reason, the bozo that was feeding the bear didn't feed it for a few days, the bear would likely have gone looking elsewhere for handouts, and could have become a danger to someone as a result.

Being that obese and considering its diet for the past 17 years Bozo was likely due for quadruple bypass surgery by Dr.Thunderhead.V:I:

no you wouldnt.

you would meekly say hello to me and thats about it. dont kid yourself.

guys like you only act tough online. in reality, you probably go out of your way to not piss off your neighbors like most normal human beings.

The bear was shot legally by a hunter. No matter what you shoose to call it it was hunted. I regularly hunt from a treestand and shoot poor unsuspecting animals as they pass by with no knowledge of my existance.

BTW. My next door neighbours feed the deer in their yard and I took 2 of them last year (8 point at 200 lbs with muzzleloader and a doe fawn with the bow). They were shot 400 yards from the house over corn same as they get fed next door. Don't be so sure we're all kids hiding in Mom's basement.

i really could care less that the bear died, i just think it is weak sauce of the hunter. im sure many bears died today as well and i will have just as much concern for them.

how am i trying to invent a problem by stating my opinion on a message borad that i think a guy is a poor hunter?

a bit dramatic on your part, dont you think?!

99% of the people on here hide behind a monitor and throw insults if you can dish it out you better be ready for it to come right back at you and lots of these fellas are old and wise and judging by saying "weak sauce" you cant be that old.

Leroy Lewis stood in the doorway of his tiny mobile home in Bushkill on Monday evening and wept as a Pennsylvania Game Commission officer told him his beloved bear, Bozo, had been shot by a hunter.

Its not his bear. End of story.

I have to agree with DisMantler on this one.

Oh not because he's right, but because I'm never wrong and I wanted to see how it felt. I'll now return to my regular programming of always being right.

You do not have to be correct to have an opinion. you simply need a pulse and a keyboard.

Bear Pie..........MMMMMMMMMMMM!

It's funny, how people who are attached to wild animals never expect them to be hunted. Hunter should invite pet owner for dinner :D

Ahem, someone is talking big online... look in the mirror.

Well said. Some of us are even old enough to shave.
