Man still shaken by bear attack - Emsdale Ontario

To me that sounds much like a predatory attack, and the fellow is indeed fortunate that he chose to fight back. Once again we see that bears other than grizzlies and polar bears can be a deadly threat to people. I hope this gentleman does not suffer from emotional trauma that often afflicts the survivors of bear attacks. If it is the case that the area gets a large volume of tourist traffic, that bear is likely habituated and we may not have heard the last from it.

Without a question it knows people well. Emsdale is on the northern edge of Muskoka, one of Canada's biggest tourist destinations, and most wealthy cottage areas. Its also very close to Algonquin Park, which attracts lot more people. Unforetunately, almost all of the toursits are from Toronto (or surrounding area) and have absolutely no idea how to handle bears.

No Floss

Well, that Slugger will work as a great tooth pick when he returns for more than a taste....man-meat is so stringy!:D

Seriously though, someone needs to get this guy a PAL and a slug gun.
