Manhurin revolvers are interresting...

A Korth is a thing of beauty but I wonder if you have reached the point of diminishing returns with them? Assuming a MR73 at $3###.00 vs a Korth at what?...6###.00+? Other than bragging rights does the Korth really add enough value to justify the expense?

Bragging rights are expensive... JP.Laugh2

I hear you. My Mercedes ML has proven to be far less reliable than the Nissan Pathfinder I had years ago. Sometimes it seems you pay for the badge.

I have made a cross on the 88, i will buy a 73 or a Korth, cant say which one, but one thing is sure, this will be the last 357 mag i will buy, so i will make it an exceptionnal one, with my 627/101/BH, i will be covered in this caliber... JP.

I see the 2 5.25" MR88's are both showing "on hold" at Trade Ex. It is nice to see there is a demand for the higher end stuff. I'm with you, although I don't think i would stretch to a Korth, I will look seriously at the MR73's when they come in.

That is what I'm thinking as well. And pretty sure those Korth's at Wanstalls were actually around $8K. Curious to see what they come in at this time around. In the summer, the Korth PRS autos sold for 4K. The new batch coming in will be well over 5K.

In my search I also came across the MR93 and MR96. Pretty shwank and modern. Too bad they are no longer made at least as far as I can tell.

The Manurhin claim to fame was that they were/ are used by GIGN, correct?
I've never shot or even handled a Korth or Manurhin. For those who have, are they really $5-7000 better than a vintage S&W K-38 or N- frame?
To be honest, I don't think they are that attractive looking compared to a M-27 or M-19.cou:

Yes the GIGN used the MR73. Agreed that they look a little awkward, particularly with the black grip. In this case it is more the heritage and quality that is the attraction. I haven't shot the Manurhin but was lucky enough to shoot 2 rounds from a Korth a few years ago at the Poco range (out near you - relatively speaking). With 2 SA shots, I can't say it shot better than some other nice guns I have tried. Too me it is one of the nicest looking revolvers and the fit and finish is spectacular, but the price puts it out of the realm of the possible for me. I would not pay new prices for one, but if you have the money and want the most exclusive...

Also, a used one sold on EE 2 years ago or so for around 5K. At the time, I didn't realize it was such a good deal, lol. That is about as close as I will get.

I was talking to Anthony at Trade Ex today. He was saying the MR73's are next September at the earliest. Price is unknown at this time but probably somewhere in the low 3's.
