Hi,

I have got a job offer in Winnipeg and exploring hunting/fishing possibilities around there. Googled it, but it seems there are not real hunting web sites about Winnipeg/Manitoba hunting. I mean good hunting forum sites (like huntingbc or CGN). Could anybody give me the right links to look at? Please... Thank you all.
 
Don`t know what you hunt but you can start here.....

I hunt pretty much everything (including animals :)). I have already checked some official sites, but I am looking for some hunting discussion board where I can get some info from real people (hunters) from Winnipeg/Manitoba. I am trying to make a decision to move or not to move from Vancouver and gathering all possible info at the moment. Any advice or info is really appreciated. Thanks again and I will pm you with an address.
 
I could be wrong, but I don't think you'll find anything like that. There used to be a Manitoba hunting forum, but as far as I know its long gone, and I don't know of any others.

Manitoba is a great place for the hunter and fisherman. We have many great lakes to fish from and I believe the hunting is great. If you are into deer hunting Manitoba is second to none in my opinion. We have good varmint hunting as well. Manitoba also offers good moose hunting. Where I live you wouldn't believe the number of Americans that come up here for black bear and migratory game birds. Next thing you know they show up all summer long with their fancy trucks and big boats to go fishing. It really is great here.

Great place for hunting and fishing bring skeeter spray you will need it.
Cougar hunting is alive and showing great results friday nights at the Palimino Club on Portage Ave
 
These websites are about as good as it gets for Manitoba:

http://www.looneybeaver.com/forum/ - There is a hunting subforum on this site. It does not get much activity, but it is something.

http://forums.bowsite.com/tf/regional/threads.cfm?state=MAN - This site is dedicated to bowhunting ONLY

http://forum.bowzone.ca/ - Again, this is a bowhunting site. Also, there is not any dedicated "Manitoba" forum. But you can post in the general hunting or whatever forum about Manitoba. There are a few guys from MB that post there, so you might get some help.

Those are the best I know of. I have yet to find any other really good sites for MB only.
