Manitoba Transfer Times

I tried a forum search, but came up empty handed. Apologies if I missed it. How long has it recently taken for a transfer to go through in Manitoba?

My GF's was received June 3rd and was approved on the 23rd.

With what is going on in the handgun world in our country, there is no guarantee on timelines of transfers.

Just call the CFO directly, had a transfer pending since June 17, had not heard anything for 3 weeks, called in to CFO and completed while I was on the phone with them

I’m still waiting for one from the 7th of June
I had one from the 6th and the 8th approved already.

Yes and No.
I've had a newer one approved before an older. But on one call a couple of friends and I transferred a dozen guns. Those appear to have all been final approved the same day by Manitoba. So there is some chronological order stuff going on.

Still waiting on two from June 1st, from two different dealers. Thinking I may just send the CFO a copy of my membership for 2022 just in case something is holding things up.

Yes in that you don't need to call in to complete the transfer. Once it hits the local CFO though I doubt either way gets a priority.

Still waiting on early August transfers, not expecting them anytime soon. My last transfer from June 7th was about 3 months.

My early June transfers finally went through in early August
I’ve had a few more recently and am not holding my breath.
I might contact the CFO once it’s been a couple of months to check in in an attempt to expedite the process

After waiting over two months, I just called the Manitoba CFO (number above) and they approved three transfers over the phone within a few minutes. Relatively short wait on hold as well. Would definitely recommend for anyone else in Manitoba playing the waiting game.

If you're in manitoba... after a month has passed, call the CFO office directly and they will process up to 2 at a time for you.

The other week I called and I was told they're approving 2 per call to be fair to everyone else calling in. She said I could call back right after and get another 2 approved.

Kind of unfair... but it pays to be impatient I guess? I called back the following day and got another 2 approved over the phone.

called in this morning, got thru right away and 2 transfers to me from retailers approved in like 7 minutes...not what i was expecting (for it to go this quick and smooth).
