Hey all, I have not hunted for 20 years now and would like to get back into to hobby. I am going to start small with my 22 and get some upland birds this fall. I have done all the required steps to prepare myself so please no negativity. I am looking for spots to go out and hopefully get my limit for the day. I am a very experienced back country camper/hiker/canoe type of guy. I have chosen not to hunt all these years although I have been actively target shooting. I love the bush and feel very comfortable with a compass and a map in my hand.

Saying all that I am hoping to find some spots to go upland bird hunting this fall and get started back into hunting in a small way to get my feet wet so to speak.

Past Pine Falls toward Bisset. Gajillion acres to hunt with loads of trails and such. Good rough camping spots everywhere. Just beware of leaving your equipment...especially vehicles unattended. Some of the folks that call the region home need a good beating IMO...
 
thx I will try out there this year. I was thinking Sandilands. Maybe I will be lucky enough to get time for both.
