Manitoba Upland Game - Spruce Woods area???

Are there good numbers of upland birds in the Spruce Woods area? Wednesday morning I'll be heading that way to do some deer hunting (archery) till Saturday.

If I'm still there come Sunday (meaning I did not get a deer

), I was thinking of doing some upland game hunting. I've never spent much time in the area, so I'm unsure if it's worth bringing the shotgun or .22. So, should I bring the guns?

does anyone know what there is the treherne rathwell tiger hills area for upland birds? i've been told there's hungarian partridge. going to spend 4 days deer hunting out that way next month, thinking of what i can bag to fill the pot
